- On this day in 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat to a white man. This was a brave action by Parks. What is the bravest thing you have ever done? Be sure to include details about the event and why you think you were brave.
- Some people do the same things every year for Thanksgiving and have those things a tradition; such as going to the movies on Thanksgiving day or watching football. Have you or your family developed any Thanksgiving day traditions? If so, what are they?
- On this day in 1820, Antarctica was discovered. Would you be interested in traveling to Antarctica? Why or why not? What continent would you like to visit and why?
- Do you like eating fast food? What is your favorite fast food restaurant? How healthy is it to eat fast food? Does fast food cause you to gain weight?
- Today is Veteran’s Day. Take some time to write about the men and women who have defended the United States of America. Why should we appreciate all of the great work they do and sacrifices they make?
- November 8 On this day in 1859, the x-ray was discovered. Why has the discovery of the x-ray been important to medicine? Do you think there are any negative aspects to the x-ray?
- What is “self control”? Is self control natural? Does self control help you or hurt you in life?

My favorite season would be summer because you can go swimming and go out side and have fun. In other season’s it is usually to cold or we have school. So summer would be my favorite season because it is when my birthday is and when we have no school.

1. Pearl Harbor is a United States naval base located west of Honolulu on the island of O’ahu, Hawaii.
2. It was the attack on Pearl Harbor that brought the United States into World War II.
3. There were 2,403 people killed, 68 of those were civilians. 1,178 were wounded.
4. The Japanese thought that the battleships were the primary source of the United States strength, but they failed to realize that the aircraft carriers and submarines would be sufficient enough to stop them in the end.
5. The Four U.S. Navy battleships that were destroyed were the USS Arizona, the USS Nevada, the USS Oklahoma, and the USS West Virginia.
Pearl Harbor was a tragic event in United states history, they destroyed Japan with a nuke and make horrible living conditions for Japan.

I would rather go to a Drive-in because you can have more privacy to your self and not have people you do not like or talk to much. You have more room to lay down and relax while watching the film. But in regular theaters it is nice because you can see it better but there are some people that may talk to much or have babies crying.

I don’t remember a time i have done something brave. When i was little i was scared of riding my bike i kept on falling off but eventually i got the hang of it.

Yes my family has developed a Thanksgiving tradition we usually make our own turkey and when its done go to my Grandma’s house where all my family is at. I help out at the table and set the table and get my family seated. And after we usually see a movie. During the Weekend i saw the movie Ninjas assassin it was a okay movie but after we went to go rent Boondock saints, now that movie was a really good movie.

Yes i would like to travel to this continent because i love to travel and see new places and meet new people. I wouldn’t mind the cold because i am not that familiar with now so i would probably enjoy playing in the snow.

I don’t really enjoy fast food but when the opportunity occurs and im hungry i would probably eat some. My favorite fast food restaurant would be Mc donalds because i eat that food the most. It is not that healthy. It depends if you dont exercise any food can make you gain weight.

Discovery of the C-Ray was a very important discovery because you could easily figure out the injury of a person rather than guessing or making assumptions. X-Rays give off radiation and is really dangerous when it first came out.

Self control is when you can withheld yourself from doing something you really want or cant help to have or do. Sometimes self control is natural because you put your self in a situation that you can make the right choice. It helps your because you can stop your self from doing something you will regret later in your life.
